The two met and married while they were homicide detectives in L.A

The two main characters are Ronnie and Sid Abel, a husband and wife team. In skill level they compliment each other well. They also really like each other and get along well together. As the story opens Ronnie and Sid have been hired to investigate and solve the year-old murder case of a scientist.
