An FTA is the more in depth or advance version of a PFA

Free trade agreements always have at least two participating states. In the same way, a PTA is also an economic pact that countries or states sign to improve their economic statuses. They are less of a commitment for countries. Preferential Trade Agreements can only be implemented by members of the WTO.
